How to Add Play Store for Smart TV
- First, you need to check if your Smart TV runs on Android-based OS which can be obtained from the user’s manual or manufacturer’s website.
- Make sure that your Smart TV is connected to the Internet.
- Navigate the Menu on your device from the Smart TV Homepage. Or you may press the Menu button on your TV remote to display the menu options.
- Look for the Personal tab and then go to the Add-Ons tab. From the Add-Ons menu, enable Unknown Sources.
- Next is to enable the Developer Mode. Enter the IP address of the PC that you are going to use to add the applications on your Samsung Smart TV. You can find your computer’s Internet Protocol address from the network settings on your PC. Click on the Start Menu and type “cmd” on the search box and then press Enter. A pop-up window will appear and you will have to type “ipconfig/all” and then press Enter. Look for IPV4 to see your IP address.
- Manually type the IP address and your Smart TV is now ready to be installed with Play Store.
- Download Play Store AFK file to USB. Exercise caution and note that you need to have this obtained from a reliable source as AFK files can have viruses or malware.
- Transfer the downloaded AFK file to your Smart TV by connecting the flash drive to your Smart TV’s USB port. Or if your TV has network capabilities, you can also use the file-sharing feature to transfer the AFK file.
- Find the transferred Play Store AFK file to start the installation process. Simply follow the onscreen prompts to complete the process which may take a few minutes for Play Store to be successfully installed.
- Go to your Smart TV’s list of apps or go directly to the home screen to locate Play Store app once you are prompted with the Installation Complete message. Open Play Store app to launch it. You may need to sign in to your Google account.
